The weekend is almost upon us, so here’s a list of parties to keep your legs moving and your bodies shaking.
Thursday
Asher Selector (Positive Airlines, Geneva) at Levontin 7 from 23:00, bringing positive reggae, dancehall and dub with support from Tribes Soundsystem 12 and Junior Brown. 30NIS before midnight, 40NIS after.

Another night of German techno at the Block. This time, it’s from Hamburg, plus there’s also a guest from the US. Konstantin Sibold & Jovonn headline, with the usual crowd of locals – Yotam Avni, Partok, Moscoman and more. From 23:30. Get there before 1:00 to get in for 40NIS. 80NIS after.

Meanwhile, retro-trance heads will get their fix at the Comfort 13 from 23:30 with Cristof (France) playing two sets, one as Absolum and one as Transwave. Lots of local support too. Message the Comfort 13 Facebook page to get on the list. Then you can get in for 40NIS till 1:00. 80NIS after.

Both the Pasaz and the Annaloulou Bar have hip hop parties going on. Pasaz has actual local MCs throwing verses and will probably cost you around 30NIS, while Annaloulou is free and will have 4 DJS spinning all kinds of hip hop and rap.

Friday
Fagazine (not a gay magazine but some sort of art magazine, I think) is taking over the Kuli Alma for a party full of sleazy beats, ghetto and house, weird performances and all kinds other fun surprises by pretty young things. From 22:00.

XDB @ Deli from 22:00 – Quality German house, plus some techno and local support from Niv Hadas and Ofri Goffer. 30NIS before midnight, more after.

Disco Zimmer @ Tahat (Ibn Gabirol 108) from 23:00 – underground techno from the best guys and gals in town (Kalbata, Dina, Haim Vitali and more). 10NIS before 1:00, 20NIS after.

The Barzilay Club returns to its original location (HaEzor Club) for the first of a series of nostalgic nights. Starts early (18:00) and will go on till late. Scene greats such as Deep’a & Biri, Niv Hadas, Yotam Avni and Tubi will play funky tech-house, techno and…house. 40NIS on the door.
