Whaddaya know. Apparently there are not one but TWO, reggae / dancehall / hip hop / afro beats parties tonight. Yes, this sort of music is really big here and you must admit it goes pretty well with the Israeli summer.
The first party is at the Marina hotel bar and it’s a pool party. Now, before we go any further, the Marina Hotel Bar is hardly what I’d define as underground, so expect a more sort of average pool party vibe with hot young things (over 21 for women and over 22 for men, though) in bikinis, expensive bar prices but, hey, a fucking pool and awesome views. Note that the pool is quite small, but if you get there early, you can splash about for a bit before anyone else gets there. 🙂
There’s a time and place for a clubby mainstream-ish pool party on a rooftop bar and this is probably it. Starts at 7:30 and goes on till 5:00. Tickets are 50NIS and include towel. Loads of DJs. In fact, they’re calling it a “mini festival”.

Meanwhile at the Lima Lima bar, there’ll be no pool but there’s a back garden.From 21:30 till 5:00 you can plug into a more underground reggae vibe:
