Tonight in town there are a few interesting options. The Block club is hosting DJ Krush and Nosaj Thing for a night of trip hop and related electronica supported by TABAC, Tel Aviv’s finest bass music DJs. Starts at 22:00 and I suggest you get there reasonably early if you want tickets. Meanwhile, Pacotek are taking to the Merhav Yarkon dance bar, which used to be a police station. If you like minimal techno and tech house then that’s your gig. You’ll be able to dance around in the old police station courtyard to your heart’s content. Harakevet 16, from 23:00 – 5:00 for 30NIS.
Meanwhile at the Maxim club there’s an 80s night with hits on one floor and new/dark wave on the other. Starts at 23:30 and tickets will be fairly cheap (40NIS), at least till midnight or so.
Jaffa’s Anna Loulou bar will feature Saif Electonica with techno and house peppered with groovy Middle Eastern and Arabic music from 22:30 till 5:00.
