Here are a few more options for this coming Purim. There are plenty more around, so I’ll try to just pick the ones I think might be cool. You might want to also give the official Tel Aviv street party a go, though it’s organised by the council and will therefore probably be lame. They’ve moved it from Rothschild Blvd. to the big area in front of the art museum and there’ll be DJs playing and some sort of market or something. The council parties are usually super commercial and dull, though, full of sponsorship banners and yawns.
So… Tomorrow night, you could go to an EBM, goth, industrial and noise party at the Mossad club. Never heard of the line or the place, but EBM and noise are not common in Tel Aviv so if that’s your kind of music, you may want to check it out. Starts at 23:30.
Friday night is chicken coup Purim at Beit Habatim from 23:00. All you can drink booze, bouncy Balkan, middle eastern, funky samba tunes and live act SAMBADOBOM from the Rio Carnival.
Saturday is Purim’s traditional T dance. The afterparty to kill all afterparties at Haoman 17. Lots of DJs including Layo form the UK, Booka shade and more. If you can still get cheap (sic) tickets, it’ll be by calling Yuli on 0545-807-508. Party starts at 12:00 noon on Saturday and goes on till you die.
