Tell Aviv wouldn’t be deserving of its self-chosen title of “party capital of the Middle East” if it didn’t have a whole load of parties happening just a week after the NYE / Sylvester madness. So tonight I bring you 3 very different parties to choose from, so everyone should feel pretty well taken care of.
First up we have some dubstep at the Lima Lima bar. Yup, Masss dubstep is back and kicking, hosting a load of local talent (Masss, Weedo, Pipe and Red Eye) from 22:00 till sometime after 3:00. If you don’t mind the place being somewhat empty, get there from 23:00 and you can get in for a mere 10NIS. Otherwise come later and pay 20NIS, which is still damn cheap.
If techno / tech house is more your thing then you’re in luck, as there’s going to be a free techno night at the Breakfast Club from 19:00 till 3:00. DJs are Alon Gorsky, Eran Rundstein and Bonkerz, with Jimi Levy playing live. It says “pumping techno” on the bill, though there may be more tech-house or minimal stuff early on. Either way, the techno people play in Israel is more Berlin style than, say, UK style acid techno.
And last but not least, the Rogatka is having a gender blender night and invite you to dress up in your finest queer, fetish, transgender finery and come to a fun night of alternative drag shows, good music, cheap booze, mingling with hot people and a healthy dose of queer activism. There’ll even be a make up corner. You don’t have to be gay to attend, though I assume you’ll be less likely to pull. Either way, being open minded is a must. 20:00 – 23:30 or beyond, entry is 20NIS (or as much as you can afford).
