Washed Out is coming to Tel Aviv and (some) DIY Tel Aviv readers get to go for free!

Washed Out in Tel Aviv

Do you like music? Do you like watching live music? Do you like watching live music for free??? Then you’re going to LOVE LOVE LOVE what I’m about to tell you!

The amazing Washed Out is coming to Israel on November 28 for a full band show at the Barby.  That’s the good news. The even better news is that DIY Tel Aviv has teamed up with Zuzz Agency to give you, my happy readers free tickets!!! I hope you’re sitting down, cause DIY Tel Aviv is giving away a few pairs of tickets to the Washed Out show! Want to know how to win them? Then read on.

But first, here’s some info about the man himself, in case you still don’t realise why you really want to be at this gig.

Washed Out (real name Ernest Greene) started out in 2009, unemployed and living at his parents’ house. After recording some songs in the basement and uploading them to his Myspace, he released two EPs before  being grabbed by the mythical Sub-Pop label. Fame and fortune soon followed with his debut album Within and Without becoming a major international hit. His track “Feel it All Around” became the theme tune for Portlandia, America’s favourite TV show about hipsters in Portland. He comes to Israel to promote his latest album, Mister Mellow, out on Stones Throw Records. Call it synth-pop, call it “chillwave”, call it electronica or EDM with good lyrics and sweet vocals, whatever you want to call it, Washed Out music is immersive, melodic and emotive.

But why am I wasting words when music can do it so much better?
