I’m recovering from last night’s party in my nice, cool flat, so am missing out on all the “oh my god, it’s so hot” madness going on outside. But regardless of whether you’re out on the beach or hiding in doors waiting for the day to chill the fuck out, here are some fun free gigs you can go to tonight.
First up, The Ramirez Brothers, undoubtedly one of Israel’s busiest live bands, are playing the Container in Jaffa at 21:30. New tunes from the upcoming new album. Yes, it’s free. And in the Jaffa port, so coolish.

Also at 21:30, outsite Beit Haamudim in the Nahalat Binyamin pedestrianised area – live jazz with the Amos Hoffman quartet.
***
Jaffa’s Yefet Bar has Acat playing “kaleidoscopic folk”, whatever that might be. Starts at 21:30 as well.
***
From 21:00 at the Anna Loulou Bar, also in Jaffa, an improvised electronic-meets-rock jam session inspired by Kraftwerk. Participating artists:
Dexon Faya, Talik Adir, Maya Danon, Muzarco.
***
Rothschild 12 has San Pedro Band at 22:30.

And one that’s not free, but cheap (10NIS or so) – The Zimmer is having the final night of their Tape Festival. Very experimental music, noise, ambient weirdness. A bunch of different people playing. It started at 17:00 but will go on till late so it’s not too late to go.
