If you’re into live music, then this is your lucky week. In between all the gay pride madness that’s sweeping the city, you may be able to fit in a gig or two. Get your ticket in advance for these. Some may actually sell out.
First up, tomorrow night (Wed) at 21:00 you can get a hit of some real fine African music and local tributes in a solidarity concert for Mali Musicians. The situation in Mali at the moment is dire and Israeli and Malian musicians are coming together not only to raise funds for musicians in Mali but also to form bonds and friendships and create beautiful musical collaborations.

Also at the Barby, on Friday, funky local groovers, The Apples, are launching their new album. Highly recommended if you’re into funk, as these guys are impressive. Starts at 21:30. Buy your tickets here for 70NIS or try the door for 90NIS (assuming they don’t sell out).

And one last gig at the Barby on the Saturday, the mighty Panic Ensemble will also be launching a new album with an extremely rare local gig. It’s going to be absolutely very exciting so you should go. Tickets here.
