Tonight from 23:00 at the Lima Lima Gaberband will be playing live with DJ support from DJ Alarm playing hip hop. There’ll also be a little vintage clothes sale in the back yard with very cheap items – 15-30NIS! Obviously don’t expect magical vintage from the 20s at rock bottom prices, but you be be able to grab yourself a cheap find to go home with (an item of clothing, of course!).
Meanwhile, if you’re short of something to do in the afternoon, there’s one of those neighbourhood festivals (sort of like a block party in the US, I guess?) in the Southern (and somewhat scummy, to be honest, though generally safe) Shapira neighbourhood. It’s the sort of thing most people would assume tourists wouldn’t be interested in because it’s small and local, but if this is your kind of thing then it may well be fun. It’s along Hachmei Israel street. There’s going to be lots of stuff for kids but also local art, food and some music and it’s definitely a side of the real Tel Aviv you would never normally get to see. It starts at 16:00 and goes on till around 21:00.
