Between the shit weather and the shooting, I think it’s safe to say Tel Aviv’s not having a very good year so far, but as you probably know, this is the city that never stops. There are so many things happening this week, you probably won’t stop either. But maybe you should stop for a bit very very soon, because the big annual DIY Tel Aviv announcement is coming up (that’s right, the new edition!).

Sunday (Today)

The Middle Beast play the weekly Bluez & Booz night @ Pasaz from 22:00, followed by the weekly blues jam. Free till 23:30, then 10NIS.

“A personal crisis invoked by the 2014 war in Gaza has motivated Udi Goren, a travel photographer, to set out on a two and a half months journey through the Israel trail. The 700 miles long trek is world-renowned as one of the world’s best and toughest long distance hikes.

An introduction evening for South Tel Aviv’s edible forest project. While the talk and discussion will be in Hebrew so you’ll need to either speak it or have a translator, you can get involved with the project itself, which just involves doing gardening stuff and join the city-funded edible forest course that will kick off in March. The annual and awesome Besveder Festival returns to the Barby from 12:00 – 17:00. Loads of amazing local acts (System Ali, Tipex, Tree, Malca Baya, Karolina, Sagol 59 and many more) on stage. And here’s the twist – all you need to get in is a warm blanket, a coat, a sweater / jumper or any other item of warm clothing or cold weather gear. This festival collects these for the local homeless population. Feel free to bring more than one item.
