The international animation comics and caricature festival 2011

film The international festival of animation, comics and caricature is on over the next few days in Tel Aviv’s Cinemateque. It seems that they haven’t learned from last year’s mistakes and their website is still awful. The Cinemateque website is likewise unsuitable for English speakers, but at least it’s fit for human consumption. This is sad, because many of the events, workshops and film showings in the festival are in English or subtitled into English. There is also a little market on selling local and international original comics and related things. Definitely worth going to if you’re into this sort of thing. So how do you find out what’s on? Well, here are the direct links to the festival info pages that have some English language descriptions of film showings and events. Sadly, the dates and times are listed in Hebrew only. If you see something you like, I suggest you either call the Cinemateque or go there in person to find out when your show is on and buy tickets. Ask what language something is and whether it is suitable for English speakers.
