Session by Ohad Naharin next week (and beyond) in Tel Aviv

event It’s been ages since I’ve written about a dance performance here and this is hardly underground, being Israel’s best known contemporary dance troupe, but it does sound really interesting and different. The Bat Sheva dance company is showing Ohad Naharin’s Session. Here’s the blurb:

A unique dance project created last year for the Museum of Modern Art in Basel, Fondation Beyeler. The dancers perform familiar moves and segments from the wide repertory of Naharin. Free to choose With who, What, How and When to perform, the dancers follow only one rule – Being available and aware to space and fellow dancers. Each session is different, exposing the audience to the endless possibilites within the company’s repertory.
