Ladyfest is an international DIY feminist festival that happens all over the world. Now it will happen in Tel Aviv as well. There’ll be music, workshops, movie screenings, art exhibitions, etc. predominantly by women for women (but by no means exclusively). It’s happening from the 14-16 of July 2011. More details and information about all kinds of cool benefit shows for the festival happening between now and then can be found on the Ladyfest Tel Aviv website. I went to the one organised by people in London and it was fun, intimate and very lovely. The people organising it in Tel Aviv are by all accounts very cool, so I have no doubt this one will be very fun as well.
