On Friday at 1:00PM there’s going to be a little free market / swap meet thing at Salon Mazal. Bring stuff you don’t need and pick up stuff you do – all free of charge. Anything from clothes, books, random crap, hugs and ideas is welcome. I’m guessing it’ll be pretty small, but the place is cool and the vibe will be nice.
Please do remember that these events are only as good as you make them and it’s easy to find stuff that’s usable but no longer serves you. Hell, I’ve even found clothes on the street (common practice in Tel Aviv, I hasten to say) that were perfectly wearable after a wash and brought them to swap meets with great success.
As they say, one man’s rubbish is another man’s treasure – unless, of course, you really bring absolute broken, smelly rubbish and expect to pick up amazing stuff for free. Please don’t be one of those people. Nobody likes those people.
