Mute – the politics of no sound is a new group show opening this Thursday at the Curatorial Studies Program Gallery.
It aims to examine the point at which a man does nothing in the face of actions that stand in contrast to what he believes in and how a silent consensus is kept with the support not only of the forceful ruling power but those who would stand up against it.
There will be works by:
Amnon Wolman, David Grubbs, Dorit Barak, Duprass – Ido Govrin & Liora Belford, Jeanne Dunning, Ohad Milstein, Oscar Abush, Tali Mayer, zamir shatz
The show is curated by Liora Belford.
On Thursday at the opening they will also be showing an assortment of related video art works by Israeli artists known for speaking out against the artistic and political status quo.

Plenty of original art to buy at very reasonable prices (10NIS – 1500NIS). A good chance to see truly alternative Israeli art and maybe even own some.
