Big night tonight in Tel Aviv. Local businesses are holding a big event today and tomorrow in support of African asylum seekers. The main event is tonight from 22:00 at Levontin 7, with asylum seeker musical acts, Bilaka, Darfur Star and Groove Ambassadors, hosting some big name Israeli acts like Quami, Alma Zohar, Ravid Kahalani, Giraffot and many more. It’s free.
Another big event is at Shafa Bar in Jaffa from 18:00. Lots of live music, including Carolina at 20:00, plus some big Sudanese drumming and dance groups and African food. Also free.
The Pasaz has an Afrobeat night with live music from AFRO PO, a mixed group of Musicians from Congo and Darfur; PRINCE AMOAH, a rising pop star in Ghana will perform original songs and covers; KELIFA MAHMOUD, a rising star in the local Eritrean music scene plus DJs, etc. Also free.
