Next week on Friday, 6/8/2010 is the national day of solidarity with Sheikh Jarrah, the disputed East Jerusalem neighbourhood that hosts weekly demons against the unjust Jewish occupation of its houses.
Meet at 1:00PM at the end of Rotschild Blvd. (Opp Habima theatre) for an entirely legal solidarity march that most likely won’t get you arrested or banned from the country as a foreigner. Handy if you want to protest but are worried about appearing at a so-called illegal demo. At the end of the event, at 4:00PM there’ll be coaches and rides leaving for Jerusalem for those who want to join the weekly demo in Sheikh Jarrah itself (the one the Israeli government has decided is illegal).
