Lots of political study tours this weekend (out of town)

I don’t know what it is about this week, but there seem to be a lot of political study tours. Only one leaves from Tel Aviv. The rest are actually in or leave from Jerusalem, but they are interesting and Jerusalem is just under an hour away.

Here is a quick run down of what’s in store.

Friday 11/2/11

Alternative archeology tour of East Jerusalem – a different perspective on the past and present of East Jerusalem presented by a group of archaeologists.

Saturday 12/2/11

Helping Palestinian Shepherds in south Mt. Hebron

Taayush is organising rides from Jerusalem for people interested in helping Palestinians reach the pastures. The army and Jewish settlers have been making things difficult as usual. This activity may well not be fluffy. Contact Dolev at: dolevrahat@gmail.com or 054-8184467 if interested in helping.

MachsomWatch tour of the checkpoints in the West Bank (leaving from Tel Aviv, though from the far north of it)

See the separation barrier and the reality it creates in the occupied territories. Contact Dalia for more details and do sign up: 03-6053439. 0544-365409 dalia.golomb@gmail.com.
