A couple of things happening tomorrow in Tel Aviv, more or less connected to human rights.
First of all, let’s hope the weather holds for the Human Rights March that will start at the oddly early time of 10:30AM tomorrow. I’m sure there will be more hangovers than people present (yes, that’s possible), but hopefully the hail and thunderstorms they’re promising us for this weekend won’t start till later. Meet at 10:30AM outside Habima theatre and march to Rabin Square. Human rights are something the Israeli government (and, let’s not be hypocritical about it, every government) should be reminded of, so do come and be a number for a good cause. This is going to be a fluffy, fun event, rather than a nasty clash with the police.
Later in the evening, if you are so inclined, you can attend the Palestinian queer party at the Comfort 13 club. It’s apparently very awesome, with Arabic music, drag shows and a chance to mingle with the Israeli and Palestinian gay and lesbian scene. Starts at 5:00PM, goes on till 11:00PM. Apparently it gets going around 7ish.
This is a regular party and this is the closest date they have to both World AIDS Day and Human Rights Day, so it should be a good one.
