Valentine’s Day is coming, people. In Tel Aviv, that means you won’t be going home alone. This year, the Shesek bar are starting early on the 13th with a Slow dance night full of all the cheesy love songs you love to hate (or hate to love). It’ll be just like the mushy part of your school disco, but with hotter people. Then on the day itself (or rather, night), they’ll be having a sexy, sleazy night of fast and slow music from all over the world to make you shake, grind, gasp and howl. Feb 13&14 from 21:00 – late.
Meanwhile, at the rather romantic Little Prince cafe-bar on the 14th itself, there’ll be live music in the form of Blues-rock act Israelim, Peula, Sex (Israelis / Action / Sex). Event starts at 21:00.
Jaffa’s coolest bar, Anna Loulou, will be holding their own “Slow-tek” party on Monday (13th) with all kinds of kitschy slow numbers from Elvis to White Snake, Roxette, Michael Jackson, Guns’N’Roses and loads more. It’ll also be a sort of wedding anniversary party, so should be a good laugh.
