Happy weekend! Here are some fun things to do in town.
Thursday
The biggest party in town has to be the KZ Radio birthday party at The Block. FaltyDL from Ninja Tune headlines a massive 4 zone party with electronic music of various kinds alongside a space dedicated to indie and alternative rock. Lots of great local DJs and live acts including Ram Orion & 3421. Full line up of awesomeness here. Tickets 70NIS in advance and 90NIS on the door. Starts 22:30.

Music and original B&W art group show at the Pasaz from 20:00. Lots of great local artists selling affordable underground art, plus DJs playing music to match. Free. More details here, including list of participating artists and DJs.

If you’re into Israeli psytrance then the Comfort 13 has a massive lineup for you. Check out the names on the list on the Facebook event and contact one of the listed event organisers to get in for 50NIS instead of 70NIS.

Friday
Ozric Tentacles play live at the Barby. Relive your favourite UK festival moments in Tel Aviv with this British psychedelic hippie band, celebrating 30 years on stage. Tickets 150NIS.

Later at the Deli Bar are hosting The Mole for a night of great techno with great local support. From 22:00. 30NIS.

Resek has a good line up of local DJs playing varied electronic beats. Not sure when it starts, as most people won’t get there before midnight anyway. Free.

Saturday
Afternoon fun at the Teder with Southern (as in South USA) music from 16:00 including a live show by the Ohana Brass Band at 19:00 (New Orleans street band type music). Also, it’s important to note that Secret Tel Aviv, the great Facebook group I’ve recently started collaborating with on their weekend event list, is having its party three as well, so you can meet fellow expats and olim and even listen to some talks by successful olim which might help you get along in Tel Aviv. Also great if you’re considering moving here but haven’t yet. All free.
