This isn’t my usual thing, but I’m putting it here as this is for a good cause.
If you like Israeli music then you may be interested to know that tonight there’s a fundraiser on for the Shapira neighbourhood afer school club. Shapira is one of the most neglected neighbourhoods in Tel Aviv and the club helps disadvantaged children with 2 meals a day, activities, emotional support, help with homework, etc.. As this is a charity event, tickets are not cheap at 100NIS each, but you’ll be able to enjoy live music from Beit Habubot and the Giraffot and know you’ve made a real difference to the lives of local kids.
The show is on tonight from 20:00 at the Yehuda & Israel Club, Allenby 34. Doors at 19:00. Please note that the place is a youth club, so there will be no alcohol for sale, but there will be soft drinks and Kosher (dairy) food.
