“An American Hippie in Israel”, known locally as “Hatrempist” (the hitchiker) is one of Israel’s own psychedelic era exploitation movie. It’s a bit of a cult phenomenon and absolutely hilarious by today’s standards (and any standards). It’s back showing at the Tel Aviv Cinemateque this Friday night from 23:30, this time, with a short film before it telling the story of the movie and its cult following. Highly recommended for lovers of classically bad cinema and cult movies.
