On July 1st, Tel Aviv will be hosting the White Night events – all kinds of mad things will be happening all night around Tel Aviv, from music gigs to street art / performances, studio tours, yoga, late night dining and loads more. Most of them are 100% free!
If you’re looking for some of the more interesting / alternative events that will be on during the night, here’s a handy list of great things to check out. All events listed are free unless otherwise stated.

From 8:00PM – 1:00AM All around Bialik Square. A night of black music – Jazz, Swing, Afrobeat, Roots, Rap etc. DJs and live acts galore. These guys run great parties.
8:00PM – 6:00AM at the Yafo flea market. Lots of stuff happening around the flea market – designer stores, bars, art tours, night tours, etc. Not particularly alternative as the place is fast becoming yuppified, but guaranteed to be good fun.
8:00PM – 6:00AM Shonzino 8
A load of local indie bands will be playing off the Tmuna balcony and onto the street.
9:00PM Yafo Port (near the entrance, by the water)
Israel’s godfather of alternative will be playing some of his best songs, supported by Halas – alternative Arabic rock.
10:00PM – 2:00AM at the Yarkon river estuary (where it meets the sea)
Israel’s answer to STOMP hosts Berry Saharof, Israel’s other godfather of alternative, plus Oy Division’s Kleizmer stylings and guests.
Florentin’s gourmet sandwich place will be hosting a white night of its own between 9:00PM – 1:00AM. Drop by for some of Tel Aviv’s finest sandwiches and maybe some surprises. Not cheap but absolutely gorgeous.
The cool but expensive designer boutique will be open till midnight, showcasing some new collections. There’ll be 20% discounts plus some import jewellery for 100NIS.

Alternative performance art at this funky alternative gallery showcasing Jewish and Arab artists. Lavontin 19
Funky house and Disco at this friendly gay / mixed bar.
Head to Ben Gurion 79 at 10:30PM for a special white night yoga class by candle light. This will be a soft, relaxed practice.
