If you’re quick you must still be able to get a place on this evening’s hummus making workshop, starting at 19:30. This one is officially taught in Hebrew, but at it’s hands on and small, you should be able to fit in. More details on these workshops here.

Liron Amram and the Panthers will play live indie Yemenite groove at Buxa (Rothschild 31) from 21:00. Free.

Levontin 7 has Fibi’s Lab Orchestra, a supergroup of local indie musicians doing an experimental live jam in aid of homeless single parent families. Among the participants are Jeki (Mambas, Botimzog, Giant Lizards) and Or Edry (Reo, Bela Tar). from 22:00. 10NIS to get in, but you can give more if you want.

Hipster karaoke at Anna Loulou Bar from 22:00. Free.

Wednesday 14/1

Opening of photographer Yanai Yechiel’s new exhibition of studio nudes. He’s known for his sensitive portrait work for Haaretz, among other things. Should be great. P8 Gallery from 20:00. Free.

Sorcerers’ Night @ 20:00. Israel’s only night of magic, illusion and comedy in English. There’s close up / table magic to begin with, followed by a full stage show. It’s hilariously funny and the magic is mindblowing. No rabbits out of hats or anything. Tickets are 100NIS and the event sells out every week, so get them in advance from here.
