Still standing after Purim? Well, here’s some awesome stuff to see and do around town this week. Party post will follow later on in the week 🙂

Tuesday
Tmuna Theatre’s A-genre festival opens with a special meal at 20:00. Then the festival goes on from Wed-Sat with 2 programmes of sound art, video art and performance art, all dealing with the various meanings of the word “occupation”.
Although most of the shows are suitable for an English speaking audience, the website is only in Hebrew. I suggest you call the box office on 03-5611-211 and book yourself into one of the programmes so you can go on a magical mystery tour. I interviewed one of the artists, Assaf Shatil, about his sound art piece showing at the festival, which incorporates 4 cellos, electronic music and found sounds. You can listen to the show here.

Contemporary circus in the Shapira neighbourhood. It’s a collaboration between Israeli and French performers – one off show. 40NIS. Full details here.
