The Shapira neighbourhood is back and this year it’s happening on the day of the Mimouna, 15/4. This little festival/block party is one of my favourite things already, and I’m really hoping there are going to be some Moroccans around celebrating the Mimouna, so I can have some moflettas. But whether or not this happens, you should expect a real neighbourhood vibe (which in the case of Shapira is really cool and quite varied), open homes where local residents serve food and drink, show off their art and invite you to speak with them about random shit, activities for adults and children, plus, of course, a stage with some really cool local acts, including the awesome Alaev Family. All this is happening between 16:00-21:00, not this Sunday but the one after.
