This week’s belated DIY Tel Aviv is coming at you from my layover in Rome, where I’m catching my connection from Barcelona. I love you guys, but I don’t love you enough to update this blog while I’m at Primavera festival. Still, there’s loads left to this week, so below are some cool things you could be doing in Tel Aviv.
Monday
If you’re feeling particularly Jewish (or are Jewish curious), head down to the community centre at Amikam 7 from 19:30 for a communal Shavuot event which will involve some live Ladino and Moroccan music by Zaaluk, plus some light refreshments and reading the appropriate bits of the bible together. 10NIS.

Tahat Club has a techno rave against fascism. 40NIS, all of which go towards helping a guy who’s gotten himself into legal trouble with Israel’s whiniest fascist rapper. As someone who’s been sent death threats before by the asshole’s goons, I’ll see this as a personal favour if you choose this underground techno party above all other underground techno parties this Friday.
