This isn’t actually in Tel Aviv, but if you’re into activism and grassroots stuff of any kind, you gotta check out the Activism Festival starting this Thursday. It’s not too late to bed, borrow or steal a sleeping bag or a tent and head over to a few days of workshops, music and healing in the woods. They may well still be looking for volunteers as well, so may be able to help you with something in return. Tickets are by donation, so you don’t need to shell out more than you can afford to participate. Highly recommended – there’s going to be some very interesting stuff there in all departments. Some of it will certainly be in Hebrew, but you’ll always be able to find someone to translate for you if you don’t speak the language.
