A free talk by Jillian Hovey this evening: On Urban Permaculture, Feminism and community

eventTel Aviv’s own eco flat is holding a series of talks by visiting international permaculture and urban eco living experts. Tonight is the first talk, by Jillian Hovey.

Here’s the blurb:

Jillian Hovey is coming to CityTree – a community for urban ecology, to discuss Urban Permaculture – through examples from around the world.
Jillian will share her knowledge and years of experience in Permaculture design, community building and facilitating sustainable living from around the world.

Jillian is an experienced permaculture teacher, and facilitator of sustainable systems design.
Based in Canada, she has taught and was involved in projects across North & Central America, Africa and more recently, in Britain.
Her projects range from urban balconies, through individual off-grid homes, to whole ecovillage communities, but all share the same principles of sustainable design, and similar design processes of involving and supporting the people and organizations associated with them.
Jillian founded the Sustainable Living Network in 1999 and serves as its Executive Director.

The talk is at City Tree (25 Bialik Street, flat 7) from 17:00 – 19:00. It will be held in English and is free of charge.
