If you’re a fan or are intrigued by David Lachapelle’s work, you should be totally heading down to the Tel Aviv museum of art for a big exhibition showcasing a large number of his famous and groundbreaking work. If you don’t know who I’m talking about, you should check him out anyway.
He’s known for colourful kitschy images inspired by Christian imagery and involving celebrities and his works are striking, funny and beautiful.
The show’s opening on the 23rd, this Friday but if you have a minimum of $1500 to spare (or a mere 750NIS for Israel-based donors), you can quickly become one of the museum’s patrons and meet the artist himself at a special event on the 22nd. Apparently.
