Animix animation and comics festival in Tel Aviv this week

eventAnimix, Israel’s international festival for comics, caricatures and animation is back this week (8-12/8) at the Tel Aviv Cinemateque. Lots of showings of local and international animations, workshops and lectures (some in English) and lots of stuff for both adults and kids, including stalls selling local and international independent (and not) comics. In keeping with tradition, their website is annoyingly awkward to use. Not even sure you can use Google Translate on it, but there is some information in English about things that are likely to be relevant for non-Hebrew speakers. I suggest you get your tickets in advance to anything you may be interested in. You can get them from the Cinemateque box office.

Here is a direct link to the animation programme.
The comics stuff is all in Hebrew, apart from information about a rate comic book auction or sale or somesuch.

Here’s the direct link to the caricature programme where there is going to be an English language session with Liza Donnelly from the New Yorker (scroll down to almost the bottom for details).
