International Migrant Day event at the Tel Aviv Cinemateque this Saturday

Activism If you’re interested in migrant workers lives and rights, head down to the Cinemateque from 15:00 this Saturday (17/12) where the annual Migrant Day event will be held. There will be stalls, children’s activities, etc. as well as a few films. I think it’s all free, but don’t hold me to it. You might have to pay something small to see the films. Alamanya is the first film, on at 15:00 and 21:30. It’s in German with Hebrew subtitles, so useful only if you speak either. At 17:00 they are showing Biutiful from Mexico, which is in Spanish and English with Hebrew subtitles. At 20:00 is “How to Pick Berries” which is in Finnish with Hebrew and English subtitles. This will be followed by a panel (in Hebrew) about agricultural workers in Israel.
