This Thursday is the Tel Aviv White Night, that will see all kinds of cool and crazy things happening all over town throughout the night. I’ll collect the ones I like into a post soon enough, but first thing’s first.
I do believe this is Israel’s first ever fanzine festival. It will be held in Tel Aviv this Thursday from 17:00 – 1:00 at the old central bus station area (corner of HaGalil and Salomon, see this Google Map) and is meant as an alternative to the official White Night celebrations (though, obviously, there’s nothing that says you can’t go to both).
There’ll be stalls selling fanzines, music, performances, poetry readings, art and god knows what else. This will be a Temporary Automanous Zone in the grand tradition of DIY culture everywhere, so come and express yourself radically or just hang out and pick up some fun anarchist books or funny fanzines.
