Queer Rock at Rogatka tonight and more

It’s not every day you get to hear good, old-fashioned rockabilly stylings in Tel Aviv. Well, tonight you can hear Hank Bobbit, described as “accoustic dyke-a-billy” from Berlin.
So if you like rockabilly and want to hear a very tight set with a twist surrounded by true Tel Aviv queer underground heroes, this is the party for you. Starts at 8:30PM at the Rogatka and costs only 20NIS (but you can pay less if you’re really broke). Cheap booze all night, as this is one of the only places in town that’s really underground and doesn’t try to rip you off with bar prices.

If queer rock is not your thing, Margoza bar in the Yafo flea market is having a moustache party. Turn up wearing a moustache and get your first beer free. There’ll be a gig from Kbetch! who I first heard last week. They play really fun balkan music that’s very easy on the ear. Starts at 9:00PM.
