The cursed bike strikes again

What the fuck is it about this bike that seems to constantly draw trouble? I mean, you could say it’s me but I have other things and they don’t seem to always be breaking or getting me into trouble with random people. You may remember my bicycle from the fun I had last spring, but today I was going out briefly to get some juice to boost my immune system and finally kick this shitty flu virusy thing I’ve got and noticed that someone had taken apart my bike.

The bike was chained inside the building, behind a locked door and by one of the wheels to make it easy for people to move it out of the way if they need to go up or down the stairs. Apparently that’s not good enough, so they took the bike off the wheel and put it on the side. WTF.

The landlord owns a shop in the building as well so I went to speak to him and he helped me put the wheel back on the bike. He reckoned it was some moving men who were moving someone in (or out, I forget). So then I had to cycle off to the bike shop nearby and get it put back together properly (and change the brake pads which were going anyway).

Surprisingly, it was quite a nice outing. This is a good opportunity to recommend Shahaf Bikes (on Levinski and in the guide) who are cheap, quick, nice and good at bike repairs.

Also, the juice bar on the corner of Nahalat Binyamin and Levinski (not in the guide) is run by a very sweet old man who was nice to me and cheered me up.
