
Another week has come, and obviously there is a lot going on, as it’s Independence Day very very soon. Love it or hate it, there are going to be heaps of parties everywhere. But there is also plenty to do before and after. Check out the listings below for instant schedule-fillers!
Tonight (Sunday)
Still some tickets left for Sorcerers Night @ Cafe Yafo, possibly the most fun you can have on a Sunday in Tel Aviv (well, technically Jaffa). If you’re into Vegas-style mentalism / illusion then you should totally go. It’s worth every penny. Tickets here.
Tomorrow (Monday)
Pirush the animal mask maker exhibits his work @ Kuli Alma from 20:00. Striking, shamanic-style animal masks made from found natural materials, including feather and bone (no animals are ever harmed in the making of the masks). This is the opening. The show will run until 4/5. Free.

Tuesday
The wandering store comes to Florentin with vintage and 2nd hand clothes, all one of a kind. Some are really old, some are current, all are cool. Abarbanel 45 12:00 – 17:00.

Memorial / Remembrance Day kicks off in the evening. Two options for you if you don’t want to sit at home twiddling your thumbs.
Singing in the square @ Rabin Square is a big, mainstream musical event to commemorate Yom Hazikaron (Memorial Day). There will be sad Israeli songs performed by big local musicians and you can sing along too if you want to be part of the consensus. Free.

Alternatively, the traditional Combatants for Peace joint Palestinian-Israeli Remembrance Day Ceremony will bring together bereaved families from both sides of the conflict to mourn the dead and send a message of reconciliation. Wednesday
OMG, it’s Independence Day! Get ready for a whole load of crazy parties. Keep checking this space as some last minute parties may appear here throughout the week.
Avant Garde Festival @ Levontin 7 will see two nights of local bands play. Too many to mention. Just go and be surprised by the sheer amount and variety. All indie, all great. Pay as much as you want. 20:00 tonight, 20:30 tomorrow.

Barzilay & Bootleg’s Independence Rave @ Meirhoff Gallery from 22:00 with Motor City Drum Ensemble Headlining. Interesting location. Certainly makes a difference from the usual clubs. 80NIS on the door.

There’s a vegan BBQ happening at the Bar Kayma, so even if you don’t eat meat you can enjoy some grilled stuff. From 13:00.

Kuli Alma are holding a party from 13:00ish too with live music from Balkan Bamachsan and more, plus DJs and a general get away from it all vibe.

From 14:00 on top of the Duplex Club there’s a massive house / techno party with all the usual suspects of the local scene. It will be going on till the early hours of the next day. Oron K / Anna / Marzam / Partok and more. Price info not released at time of writing.
