Daniel Johnston, the strange man who inspired, among others, the late Kurt Cobain (and a whole load of other great indie musicians), is playing in Tel Aviv tomorrow. I was lucky enough to see him play a few years back and it was touching, emotional and quite weird. Definitely a very rare opportunity to see a cultural phenomenon in action.
