Parties in Tel Aviv 11-12 Oct 2012

party Oh look, another week has gone by. Time to get into that party mood for the weekend, assuming you’ve survived the holidays and everything. Here are some things that look cool.

Thursday

Steve Angello (Swedish House Mafia) at HaOman 17. It’s gonna be a big night for sure, though hardly alternative per se. I’m personally not a fan of the club (though I’ve not been there for a while), but if you like Angello, then you won’t mind paying the 160NIS ticket to see him. He’ll be playing a solo 5 hour set. Doors at 22:00.

Guy Gerber at The Block club. Melodic techno and stuff. Another big night and with a better soundsystem, for sure. Doors at 23:30. Tickets in advance here for 60NIS plus booking fee. 90NIS on the door. Expect queues.

***
1984 – Dark 80s night at the Deli bar – goth, industrial, synth pop. No need to dress up. Free all night long from 22:30 till late. This night is for people 25+.

Hip hop night at the Comfort 13. Old school Vs new school and lots of young people on the dance floor. Starts at 22:00, goes on till 6:00. Girls get in for free till 00:30 and guys get in for 30NIS till then. After that it’s 40NIS for everyone.

***

Michatronix has Katzele K playing. 22:00 – 7:00. Free entry.

Friday

Afternoon open air party at the Teder, Italian style. From 14:00-19:00 you can eat great food from the neighbouring restaurant, listen to Italian-inspired music and watch a live gig by Monti Fiori. Free.

Daniel Avery at the new Bootleg club (formerly Maxim, King George 46). Listen to the set linked to in his name to get an idea. I’m liking what I’m hearing – techno/wobbly bits/fun. 23:30 till late. No clue how much it costs.
