Social justice demo tonight in Tel Aviv. Come march with us.

activismTonight there are actually two so-called social justice demos in Tel Aviv (the Israeli version of the Occupy movement). Unfortunately, one of them is not very secretly funded by tycoons and people with political interests, so it’s not really worth going to. The demo worth going to that’s part of the real protest movement is the one starting at 19:30 at Habima Square. It will be making its way down Kaplan St. like the past few weeks, where people will undoubtedly block roads, chant and generally make a nuisance of themselves. Along the route leading to Kaplan St., you’ll be able to see local bands playing protest songs from people’s balconies. Apparently.
The other demo is somewhere along the Tayelet and will have speeches by all kinds of pretenders to the crown. Choose wisely.
