Independence Day is coming up and while I’m normally not one for waving patriotic flags, I do like this cute sounding workshop that’s coming up on Friday Afternoon – personal flag day! It’s a flag making workshop where you can make your own personal flag – to represent you, to represent your family, community, street, whatever. Rather than make an Israeli flag or any other country’s flag or banner, you decide what goes on your flag. All kinds of textiles will be provided and you get to take one flag home with you and leave one to be used in a chain of flags that will decorate the street. This is all happening at Textilya (Yehuda Hayamit 43) from 12:00-16:00 and it will cost 15-30NIS. Children welcome.
