It’s pretty shocking, but Purim is actually almost here. I’ve just been shopping for bits of my costume so am beginning to actually feel it. So this week is all about the Purim parties. Watch this space for more parties (including an awesome dubstep / rave / electro party at a secret venue in South Tel Aviv I’ll be listing very soon).
But first, here’s an early one to start you off. This Thursday (17/3) Castro, which is Israel’s answer to TopShop and H&M is holding a fun party in its Dizengoff Center store (on King George St.) to celebrate the launch of a new line of clothing. It’s organised by the hip people from the Prozdor bar, so it’s likely to be at least fairly hip. The theme is Flash Gordon. There’s gonna be music, DJs and 3D glasses, which you’ll need to view the work of 3D Novak Disco. Oh and did I mention free booze? Cause there’s gonna be free booze. Party starts at 20:00 and goes on till around midnight. To attend you need to go to the Facebook event page, press “attending” and then either leave a comment with your full name, age and telephone number or message any of those listed as organisers with the same.
