Thursday

Tel Aviv white night @ All Over town – The annual White Night event returns with parties, music, food, late night shopping, art shows and loads more stuff. Most events are free, some are cheap. A full list of official events can be found here (in English).

Highlights:

Screen reality for dreams @ Hayarkon 19 from 20:00 – One of the White Night events – a night of video art, computer inspired live music from My Little Pony is a Computer, virtual reality and artistic video games and all kinds of human-computer interactive fun. Free.

*

Black Night @ Achoti House –

The traditional anti white night event by the angry feminist Mizrahi brigade, pissed off about always being left out when it comes to culture and resources. Live and DJed Mizrahi music, poetry readings, a party and maybe even some action, as the municipality doesn’t take kindly to people trying to organise their own parties on White Night, as much as they’d like to pretend it’s an all inclusive event. Free.

Matalon 70, corner of Chlenov.

SEVEN – site specific performance art @ Central Bus Station from 20:30 –

Mystorin Theatre’s brand new physucal theatre show, specifically designed for the 7 levels of the Central Bus Station. Guaranteed to be an immersive and strange experience.

Tickets are 80NIS and can be found here.

Full blurb:

SEVEN is the new artistic achievement of the Mystorin Theatre Group. Continuing the company’s journey in the urban landscapes of the Tel-Aviv New Central Bus Station, SEVEN poetically intertwines with the terminal’s vivid daily activity. It becomes part of the station and turns it into a theatrical world of fantasy, shared by performers, audience and passersby. Along with the audience, the show travels the seven floors of the station’s giant structure, from the busy platforms, through the hectic shopping avenues to the covert underground urban-labyrinths, secretly hidden three floors under street level. SEVEN is a first of its kind site-specific interpretation of an assortment of mystical texts, all linked by the number 7 and the contemplation of the afterlife: Dante’s ‘Divine Comedy’, the ‘Seven Skies’ in the Book of Zohar, the New Testament’s Seven Deadly Sins and more. A diverse
language of styles and techniques of performance such
as areal acrobatics, acapella singing, movement and visual theatre turns SEVEN into an all-round immersive celebration of colour, texture, sound, movement and emotion
