So much sadness going on lately. A shooting in Tel Aviv, now the shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando, which is still an unfolding situation as I write this. Always feels weird to talk about cool events when all this shit is going on. But as they always say here, you can’t let terrorists and hate win. We will keep living our lives no matter how much they try and stop us. So here are some ways of making life worth living this week in Tel Aviv.<\/p>\n

Sunday<\/strong><\/p>\n

Roof Animals party from 17:00 @ Lilienblum 23. Tech house. Free.<\/p>\n

*<\/p>\n

Warp<\/a>\u00a0play a “floor show” as part of Levontin 7’s festival of such. Basically the band won’t be on the stage, but on the same level as the audience. From 22:30. 20NIS.<\/p>\n

*<\/p>\n

Some tropical groove @ Radio EPGB from 22:00 with the guys from the Mimbrana label. Free.<\/p>\n

Monday<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you want to see what a gaming \/ anime conference looks like in Israel, you could try Legend-con which is in Ramat Gan, so practically Tel Aviv. There will be loads of kids, obviously, but some grown ups too. From 11:00 – 20:00. 45NIS. Website<\/a> is in Hebrew, but there will be a massive area full of gaming consoles, film screenings and other non-language specific stuff.<\/p>\n

Tuesday<\/strong><\/p>\n

Green brothers @ Frischman 90 are holding their annual alternative book week sale. From 9:00 – 23:00 on weekdays till the 25th you can grab a whole load of books (not just in Hebrew) from 10NIS plus get 20% off the rest.<\/p>\n

Rothschild 12 will be screening Blue Velvet outside from 20:00, followed by a live gig by the ever popular Vaadat Charigim. Both are free, but expect it to be super rammed, so arrive early and guard your spot with your life.<\/p>\n
