\"event\"It’s election day tomorrow and even though many of you won’t actually be able to vote, you can still reap the rewards of being in the country. Lots of shops are giving discounts to encourage people to buy stuff, as people are off work for the day. Ones I know of are Guy Gil’s jewellery store on Sheinkin (20% off everything, I believe, if you walk in wearing red lipstick), Jus (also on Sheinkin street) giving 50% discounts and also on the same street, I believe Zaza is having a sale. Meanwhile, Tomer Ben Cnaan is having a 100NIS sale on all dresses and things in his store. It’s worth checking any store you’re interested in to see if they have a discount. Even if they hadn’t planned on it, maybe asking nicely will get you one.<\/p>\n

At night, you can watch the results as they roll in while drinking and listening to music at one of the many election night parties. Har Sinai Bar <\/strong>is going to be the hipster place to be (from 21:00). The Shesek bar<\/strong> will actually be open from 14:00 all through the night, so you can start early and stay late.
\nIt’s a Greek democracy themed party. If you do have a right to vote and can show them you voted, you get a free chaser. If you’re brave enough to be one of the few people who’ll dare turn up wearing a toga, you’ll also get a free chaser.
\nThere’s also going to be some sort of mad alternative super band jam at the Ozen Bar<\/strong> live music from all kinds of people from all kinds of alternative bands \/ acts who are going to be doing things and the election results will be shown on big screens. It’s going to be very weird.<\/p>\n
