Continuing my celebration of Spotify’s arrival in Israel, here’s a playlist of current (and slightly less current) Israeli alternative music. It starts off melodic and quiet, goes into harder stuff, then funkier stuff, then mellower stuff and then off on a tangent. I wouldn’t dare call it definitive, but there’s lots of stuff there to keep you busy discovering local acts of all kinds.
Many of these acts have lots more music out and not all of it is on Spotify. Look for them on Bandcamp where you can also buy their tunes and support them directly. Spotify is cute and I love it, but it’s pretty shit for artists.
Oh, and if you haven’t done it yet, feel free to check out the other playlist I made, of alternative Israeli music from the 90s.
