party OK kids, this is the post you have been waiting for. The one with all the good stuff I know about that’s happening this NYE in Tel Aviv. Check out your options and get ready to party! :)

Starting with…Pacotek. Tech-house and minimal techno at the Breakfast Club with free, yes free entry before midnight and a mere 30NIS after. Doors at 22:30.
Special guest Sonia from Moscow with locals Anna & Soussana / Mango & Sobor.

Meanwhile at the Maxim club and the adjoined Bootleg bar you can mix happy 80s nostalgia with techno, house and electro beats at the Panika and Fetish Fridays collaboration. DJ Noir from Denmark headlines alongside the wonderful Ellyott and Ilya. Tickets 70-80NIS.

The nearby HaMaoz bar will have a free retro night and they invite you to dress in your best 50s rock’n'roll outfit and join their 50s diner inspired jukebox party, playing hip rock oldies all night long.

In Florentin, you can get in on the underground vibe by going to the Beit Habatim party. 40NIS will get you in from 23:00 – 5:00 where there’ll be a live band playing (Benedict) and some DJs playing various groovy eclectic things, including one known for being part of the awesome, funky band, The Apples. Should have a pretty lovely vibe and a fun crowd.

Other intimate, free or at least cheap parties will include the Radio EPGB party with their resident DJs, including my own personal favourite, Oi Boi, playing the bar’s usual soundtrack of a bit of this and a bit of that (rave, electro, indie, dubstep, bass, dancehall, hip hop, etc.) and the Michatronix which has a mystery line up worth checking out. They will be small, smoky and rammed.

As you may already know. This year, NYE is on Saturday, so there are actually a lot of NYEish parties on the Friday instead. If you want to start your party early, you might want to go to the Block Club for a huge party headlined by Graeme Park, one of the original Hacienda residents.

The Ozen bar will be having an indie/brit pop / rock / punk party, with 90s, 80s, noughties and current alternative hits. Doors at midnight, tickets 40NIS. Goes on till 4:00.

Levontin 7 has a hip hop party courtesy of the Raw Tapes label headlined by DJ Werd from Berlin, alongside some fine local talent (Walter, KerenDun, Mesh, Plusga, Dubz and Galo and Ortega).
Doors at midnight, tickets 40NIS, goes on till 7:30.

PAG and Shpagat, two straight-friendly(ish) gay nights are joining forces at Zizi with a night of fun house/tech house / electro / stuff, as well as weird (and apparently pretty awesome) performances and fun. 60-80NIS

Morning Mayhem at Breakfast club (same place as Pacotek will be the next night). Techno all night (probably minimal and tech house, though, but I’m not 100% sure). 23:30 – 6:00, 10NIS before 1:00, 20-30NIS after. Get in for free before 1:00 or for 20NIS after if you hit attending on their event page.

More info coming soon, when more parties come out of the woodwork…
